Bookworms Reunited!

Few days ago when I have posted that I’ll be attending this year’s Philippine Literary Festival and I am so happy that I was able to be part of it 🙂

My weekend was  filled with insightful literary discussions, book launches, signings, exhibits, and everything in between, hosted by National Book Store.

It was a 3-Day event which started last August 28 (Friday) until August 30 (Saturday).

It was held at the Raffles Makati.

Day 1

I was totally clueless of what will be their discussion.

On the middle of the talk, Sir Dean Alfar told us that Nikki is her wife and I was like 😍 #RelationshipGoals

That was the only time when I realized that the word “Writing Fiction: Together and Apart” refers to them as married couple slash excellent writers!

They have discussed some important points like what is good and what is bad in writing fiction as a married couple.

According to them, the GOOD side of it are:

  1. Healthy Competition
  2. Inspiration
  3. You win even when you don’t win – meaning, in every competition, one will lose and one will win

And the BAD side of writing fiction together are:

  1. When one is sick, both are sick 😂
  2. Spousal Distraction
  3. Competition

Their discussion lasted for 1 and a half hour and I have really learned a lot from them! I became more inspired and it was really highly motivating. 😊

My Favorite Spot! 😄

Day 2

I came at the venue late because of traffic jam and I still have another appointment before that. Anyway, I think what matters most is my thoughts on their discussion 😊

Since I came late, I missed Pammy Godoy’s talk 😔

On the last day of the event, there were several authors who have their book signing.

and  some souvenir items given.

As a conclusion, I really enjoyed that event and I can’t wait for more upcoming Book-related Events ☺

Before I finally end this one, let me take a shot! 📷
